I’ve always been artistic and creative. I did art as a hobby, which was safe and low-pressure. But then I realized art was the only thing making me happy while I tried to get through the day in my “real” job. So one day, in a dance studio in New York to be precise, I decided to quit my “real” job and become an artist. Some people think you can’t just “be” an artist overnight. It takes time, higher education, professional acceptance, and public accolades. So I’m not an artist, then—yet. But I maintain that people who make art are artists. My goal is to “art” every day of my life until I die.
